Both Facebook and Instagram faced widely reported outages from around 10:20 am ET, according to DownDetector. “Users are unable to log in to their accounts on apps or desktop sites,” DownDetector users wrote as comments regarding the issues.”

More than 25,000 reports were received at DownDetector as of 8:08 am. The number swiftly soared to over 299,000 by 8:24 am – underscoring the extent of the outage. According to a social media immigrant users experienced issues while logging in – on both platforms.
